Studying with a Disability: Support and Guidance
/ Studying with a Disability at ÉSTIAM
Across all ÉSTIAM campuses, continuous efforts are made to improve the quality of support and inclusion for students with disabilities.
ÉSTIAM is committed to facilitating access to higher education in IT for students with disabilities, while also ensuring they benefit from a comfortable and supportive learning environment that allows them to focus on their studies with peace of mind.
Whether the disability is temporary or permanent, solutions are available, and students can receive personalized support. To do so, they are encouraged to contact the disability coordinator on their ÉSTIAM campus.
ÉSTIAM is authorized to welcome students with disabilities (provided their health condition is stable, there are no medical contraindications to the profession, and within the limits of reasonable accommodations — in accordance with the law of February 11, 2005).
/ The Disability Advisor – What Is Their Role?

Each ÉSTIAM campus has a dedicated Disability Advisor. This person is the primary point of contact for setting up personalized support plans for students with disabilities.
The Disability Advisor’s mission is to ensure the implementation of the school’s policy for welcoming, integrating, and supporting students with disabilities throughout their educational journey.
Their main responsibilities include:
Providing information on the inclusion of people with disabilities
Raising awareness within the institution about disability-related issues
Acting as a liaison with external stakeholders (referral agencies, Agefiph, MDPH, partner associations, etc.)
Assisting in identifying students officially recognized as workers with disabilities
Identifying the needs of individuals with disabilities in the daily life of the school
Supporting students throughout their training programs
For students in work-study programs: ensuring proper workplace integration and ongoing support
Thus, the role of the Disability Advisor encompasses several key functions:
A trusted resource who informs, guides, and supports students with disabilities
A liaison and facilitator who coordinates between internal teams and external partners
/ Contacting the Disability Advisor
To benefit from accommodations and personalized support, students must contact the Disability Advisor on their respective ÉSTIAM campus.
The names of the Disability Advisors are listed on each campus page. All Disability Advisors can also be reached via: handicap@estiam.com
